I always love a mission from Mixmag when it comes my way and this time I was getting out of town, to Liverpool to be exact... never been so was preparing for an attack of some right scouse brows and fake tans tbf! But to my surprise there weren't one insight! lol Anyway the venue was The Masque and the party was Circus's 10th Birthday celebrations! I nearly deafened the picture editor on the line when I asked who was playing because I literally jumped out of my chair and squealed with delight! Maceo Plex, Yousef, Seth Troxler, David Squillace to name but a few oh and of course Sasha! lol

The mission was to capture the night and convey the atmosphere of the party thorough my imagery. The Big 3 review takes 3 nights across the planet and gives the best one the 'No.1' spot. So when Mixmag magazine landed on my doormat this morning I ripped it open to find that Circus had nabbed 1st place with a couple of my images from the night. So well done to Yousef and all of the Circus team, it was a pleasure to meet you all and cover the fab 10th birthday!

A last minute email then sent me to cover another photographic report for Mixmag this time one on my doorstep at my regular haunt The Rainbow for FACE's 3rd Birthday celebrations! I was actually planning to go party there anyway as I was the resident photographer for FACE for a well over a year and love going back if I ever have a Saturday night off - which is not often! Always great underground music, people and general vibe is just fab, everything is sound the security and all! - Big up Freedom Security!

I was so excited to go the the birthday as it was going to be hosted in the Warehouse and Garden to fit the demand and also the line up was amazing too David Squillace (loved him at Circus and was really looking forward to hearing him play again!) Matthias Tanzmann, Joy Orbison, Scuba BBC: Bleepz - Bunny & Crofty, Smak Pony and more. Plus the bonus of being getting to see a lot of my friends out - Winning!

Another part of the mission when I'm shooting on for Mixmag is to find some interesting people for 'NIGHT PEOPLE', take their portraits and ask them a silly question - this months was " Why do you deserve a prize?"
