It was really great to work with dj/producer FM81 (a.k.a Frank) and singer/songwriter VKDO (a.k.a Vaun) of Neon States, a UK 80s Retro Synthwave & Indie Electronic band hailing from London - inspired by the nostalgia of the 80s synth wave movement.

They wanted a new image for the release for the single artwork for the release of their single 'Running Up That Hill' a synthy, a cover of Kate Bush's - Running Up That Hill. My aim is always to produce clean images which can be referred back to for future use - without the need to do lots of post-process on. That way the photos stay as timeless as they can be but also allow a designer to manipulate should they want to. We toured around a few of their favourite spots along The Thames, around Westminster/Southbank area and found some great backdrops to reflect the feeling they wanted to convey. 

I must say I was extremely impressed with! Anyone that can take on a Kate Bush track has got to have an amazing voice and saying that the production though subtle, also had a new vibe to it. So congratulations to both FM81 and VKDO for pulling this off - I wish them all the success!
