DJ press shots are something I really enjoy doing as working with fellow creatives they usually know what they want. No difference here either when Chris James had approached me at his last press shot session and told me he had just been signed with Lee Dearn as Purple Velvet approached me to do their shots. They both had a definite idea of the look they wanted and of course colour and then left the rest up to me. At the end of the shoot I asked them to stage some pretty strange poses, I don't think they were quite sure about but I had an idea to collaborate with an illustrator and had a vision of how the final result could look so we persisted with it check out the Nordle colab...

They have used their images in a variety of different ways including, on their DJ agency website, flyers, facebook, soundcloud and of course now they have the images Purple Velvet have a visual identity which will be around for a long time to come. In fact I've just checked and found they have used the images for a release of an EP just this month...  Screen shots at bottom of page.
